The Nu Phi Chapter was established in 1983 and is the officially recognized chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha at Georgia State University. Its objectives are to promote a greater understanding of issues relevant to political science, to encourage scholarship, to recognize students who have achieved academic excellence in the discipline, and to provide services to its members and students in general with regard to academic, professional and scholarly pursuits relating to political science.
Both Undergraduate & Graduate
Section 2. Requirements for Chapter membership shall consists of the following:
a) Have an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
b) Have an overall GPA of at least 3.5 in all political science courses.
c) Pay the one time Chapter dues.
Section 3. Requirements for National membership shall consists of the following:
a) Be a Nu Phi Chapter member in good standing (i.e., having fulfilled the requirements for chapter membership).
b) Be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
c) Completed 15 quarters hours or ten semester hours of work in political science including at least one upper division course.
d) Maintained an average of "B" or better in all courses in political science.
e) Pay the one time national dues as established by the Pi Sigma Alpha national office.
one-time fee $35.00 for national membership and $10 for chapter membership (total-one time fee $45)
